Działalności Polonijnego Klubu Podróżnika
Minęło nam 15 lat owocnej działalności. Jak owocnej niech przemówią same liczby: 212 różnych akcji; prelekcji i spotkań, wieczorów autorskich i wigilii, wyjazdów szkoleniowych i kursów, pikników i bali w których wzięło udział 19,070 osób. Do tej liczby nie zostali wliczeni uczestnicy wypraw. Gościliśmy 71 prelegentów, z których 24 przybyło z Polski. Każda z tych akcji jest udokumentowana i można o niej przeczytać w Katalogu tego balu. Z takiego dorobku Klub jest dumny. To ogromna praca organizacyjna i wysiłek czasowy.

JOINT LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey are pleased to join in marking and observing the Tenth Anniversary of the Polish-American Travelers Club, which is highly esteemed in the Garden State community, upon the auspicious occasion in the Travelers Ball on February 4, 2006, at the Fiesta Ballroom in Wood-Ridge; and,
WHEREAS, Under the capable and effective leadership of founder and President Jerzy “Yurek” Majcherczyk, the Polish-American Travelers Club is an outstanding organization whose praiseworthy goal is to promote efforts and achievements of Polish-American explorers and researchers who strive to make their mark in the United States and around the world; and,
WHEREAS, Through its vitality and its valuable and robust activities, the Polish-American Travelers Club serves as an ambassador of Polish world interests and of the Republic of Poland in our American society; and,
WHEREAS, In addition, Polish-American Travelers Club members, supporters, and sponsors have given generously of their time, energies, and resources in behalf of charitable causes, such as providing financial aid to the town of Arequipa, Peru, after a tragic earthquake in 2001, finance a life-saving operation for a Polish child, providing funds to the Polish orphanage in Jelenia Gora, and assisting the victims of fire in Passaic; and,
WHEREAS, The Tenth Anniversary of the Polish-American Travelers Club is also an appropriate time to pay tribute to the enormous contributes that the people of Poland and Polish- Americans have made to this State and country throughout our history; and,
WHEREAS, The leaders and members of the Polish-American Travelers Club have worked tirelessly and effectively in benefit of others and are recognized and saluted for their exemplary dedicated and motivation that have contributed to the Club’s sterling reputation; and,
WHEREAS, It is both proper and fitting for this Legislature to pause in its deliberations to commend the Polish-American Travelers Club as a superb organization in the Garden State; now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
That this Legislature hereby honors the Polish-American Travelers Club in recognition of its Tenth Anniversary, and congratulates the Club for a decade of meritorious service and unwavering dedication to Polish-Americans and to the community-at-large; and,
Be it further resolved, That a duly authenticated copy of this resolution, signed by the Senate President and the Assembly Speaker and attested by the Senate Secretary and the Assembly Clerk, be transmitted to the Polish-American Travelers Club.
